TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT THE ENGINE WOULD REV UP TO 2400 RPMS. THE CONTACT HAS TO SHIFT THE VEHICLE INTO NEUTRAL TO STOP THE VEHICLE FROM ACCELERATING FORWARD. THE CONTACT HAS TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER 20 TIMES IN THE LAST SIX MONTH REGARDING THE RACING RPMS. THE DEALER HAS CHANGED THE MAIN COMPUTER TWICE ALONG WITH THE THROTTLE POSITIONING SWITCH, THE IDLE AIR FLOW SENSOR AND THE MANIFOLD INTAKE GASKET. NONE OF THESE REPAIRS HAS REMEDIED THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT FEELS THIS VEHICLE IS NON-DRIVABLE AND THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL REGARDING THE RACING RPMS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 146,000.
