WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH IN RAINY WEATHER CONDITIONS, THE VEHICLE HYDROPLANED AND THEN CRASHED INTO A CEMENT WALL ON A BRIDGE. THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT WOULD NOT ENGAGE PROPERLY AND CAUSED THE OCCUPANT TO MOVE FORWARD WITH FORCE. THE AIR BAG DEPL…

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH IN RAINY WEATHER CONDITIONS, THE VEHICLE HYDROPLANED AND THEN CRASHED INTO A CEMENT WALL ON A BRIDGE. THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT WOULD NOT ENGAGE PROPERLY AND CAUSED THE OCCUPANT TO MOVE FORWARD WITH FORCE. THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT RESULTED TO NO PERSONAL INJURY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED OF THE INCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTO COLLISION CENTER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 58,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
