I JUST BOUGHT THIS VAN USED AND THE OWNER TOLD ME SHE NEVER TOOK IT IN TO HAVE RECALLS 90V074000 AND 91V040000 DONE. I HAVE THIS VAN AT THE TURNER CHEVROLET, MONTROSE, CO AND THEY SAY THE VIN IS INVALID BUT THE LOCAL TITLE AND CAR FAX SAYS IT IS? I DID A TRANSLITERATION AND THE 9TH DIGIT DIDNT MATCH THE REMAINDER SO THUS IS INV…

SEAT BACK OF THE REAR BENCH SEAT MAY BREAK AWAY FROM THE SEAT CUSHION IN AN ACCIDENT.
Consequence & remedy Consequence: SEAT OCCUPANT WOULD BE SUBJECT TO GREATER INJURY; VEHICLEWOULD NOT COMPLY WITH FMVSS 207.
Remedy: INSTALL REINFORCEMENT THAT RUNS FROM SIDE OF SEAT BACK FRAME ASSEMBLY TO SEAT CUSHION FRAME ASSEMBLY, STRENGTHENING THE SEAT BACK.
