TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET EXPRESS 1500. THE CONTACT STARTED THE IGNITION AND THE VEHICLE ABNORMALLY ACCELERATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO STOP THE UNINTENDED ACCELERATION BY TURNING OFF THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIANS WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE RECURRED WHILE THE CONTAC WAS TURNING INTO A PARKING LOT DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH. THE CONTACT APPLIED PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND CRASHED INTO A BRICK WALL. A POLICE REPORT WAS AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THAT THEY WOULD SEND AN INSPECTOR TO FURTHER INVESTIGATE THE VEHICLE.
