The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at an inspection station for a smog test, the technician informed him that there was fuel leaking from the fuel tank onto the exhaust pipe. Additionally, a strong fuel odor was detected inside the vehicle. The dealer was made aware of the failure and scheduled an upcoming appointment for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the Special Coverage Adjustment Number: 15682 for the Primary Tank Module Flange Fuel and Vapor Leaks had expired. The contact related the failure to TSB: N150682. The failure mileage was approximately 89,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked in his garage with the engine off, the contact turned on the accessory switch which caused the engine to start. Once the engine started, the vehicle began to roll backward with the driver-side door open which caused the contact to be knocked over. The contact was dragged with the vehicle out of his garage as the driver's side door was caught by a part of the house garage door jamb which folded the door. The driver door detached the vehicle as the driver-side window burst and damaged the interior door panel. The contact was able to roll free from the vehicle once it left the garage; the vehicle rolled into his neighbor's landscaping which caused the vehicle to stop. The contact suffered cuts and scrapes to the right side of his back, buttocks, arm, ankle, as well as, his left and right legs. The contact did not seek medical attention. A police report was not filed. The contact drove the vehicle back into the garage and later had it towed to an independent body shop. The contact called a dealer where they informed him that there were no recalls on his vehicle. The contact attempted to reach the manufacturer but was kept on indefinite hold. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 7,800.
This vehicle has a strong odor of gasoline from the rear of the vehicle. There are no signs of fuel on the ground where the vehicle is parked. I understand that this was the subject of another GM special coverage adjustment 15682. I am concerned that the vehicle may catch fire and cause damage to person and property.
After starting the vehicle I am unable to shift out of park. This endangers both myself and a passenger if I need to move the car quickly in case of fire or another vehicle or object coming toward me. I was rear ended on Monday 08/02/21 at approximately 2:45pm in Atlanta, GA. The impact of the accident caused my driver's seat back to collapse backwards. Now I have back pain that I did not have previously. The seats should be recalled and repaired immediately.

I was wondering if you could tell me if this is a problem that has been reported by other Chevy owners? Where can I go to get parts? There has been no injury or accident. I would like for my airbags to work properly. In case of an accident lack of airbags could be a problem.
Warning light that indicates an airbag system malfunction comes on intermittently for no reason. Occurrs when vehicle is not being driven, but lights when you start the car. Thia ia a serious safety issue since the airbags wont deploy when it's lit. Car only has 13,000 original miles on it.
On this car there is no way to manually open the convertible top in the down position. The spot where there is a hole depicted in the car manual where a button to push to manually open the top is missing. I view this as a safety problem.

I recently purchased my 2007 c6 corvette used. I did not notice anything until I started my drive home which was a 200 mile drive. the gas gauge was reading 1/4 tank of gas and dropped to empty. We stopped in at the gas station and filled the tank but once we did the gauge continued to read empty and a light displayed on the dash stating service fuel system. We continued to drive on our way home and we noticed a strong fuel odor inside the cabin of the car and distinctively from the driver side of the vehicle. I got the car home and noticed a few small drips in the garage that quickly evaporated. To the best of my knowldge I suspected that it was fuel. for the next week or so we did not drive the car but the garage smelled strongly of fuel. I parked it out side and the fuel smell in the garage went away. Odly after filling the tank a few more times the gauge began working again and the service fuel system message went away. It eventually showed an empty tank and then full again. I went to visit my local gm dealer to see if any recalls had been placed on my car over the years and they told me that there are no active recalls. However in my sear accross the forums I found gm bulletin 15682 (primary tank module flange fuel and vapor leaks) for my 2007 corvette. This bulletin was released in july 2016. perfectly matching the issue I am experiencing and was advised my member of many of the forums to file a concern with nhtsa. I have not yet had it inspected by the dealership because they want $1500.00 to inspect and repair because of the need to drop the drive train for proper access. I Would appreciate any assistance with this issue. I am scared to drive my care due to a fire related accident and it is my primary means of transportation.

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2005-2007 Chevrolet Corvette vehicles manufactured March 29, 2004, through June 22, 2007. In the affected vehicles, the underhood bussed electrical center (UBEC) housing can expand and cause the headlamp low beam relay control circuit wire to bend. If the wire is repeatedly bent, it may fracture causing a loss of low beam headlamp illumination.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: The loss of low beam headlamp illumination will decrease the driver's visibility, as well as the vehicle's conspicuity to other motorists, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will install a jumper wire to correct this condition, free of charge. The recall began January 2, 2015. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is 13146. Note: Model year 2008-2013 Chevrolet Corvettes will be covered under customer satisfaction program number 14203 for the same issue.

GENERAL MOTORS IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2005 THROUGH 2007 CORVETTE VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A REMOVABLE ROOF AND MODEL YEAR 2006 AND 2007 CORVETTE Z06 VEHICLES. THE ADHESIVE BETWEEN THE ROOF PANEL AND THE FRAME MAY SEPARATE. IF THERE IS A PARTIAL SEPARATION, THE DRIVER MAY NOTICE ONE OR MORE SYMPTOMS, SUCH AS A SNAPPING NOISE WHEN DRIVING OVER BUMPS, WIND NOISE, POOR ROOF PANEL FIT, ROOF PANEL MOVEMENT/BOUNCE WHEN A DOOR OR HATCH IS CLOSED, OR A WATER LEAK IN THE HEADLINER.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: IF THERE IS A COMPLETE SEPARATION, THE ROOF PANEL MAY DETACH FROM THE VEHICLE. IF THIS WERE TO OCCUR WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN, IT COULD STRIKE A FOLLOWING VEHICLE AND CAUSE INJURY AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A NEW DESIGN ROOF PANEL FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING APRIL 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CHEVROLET AT 1-800-630-2438 OR AT WWW.GMOWNERCENTER.COM.

The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened this investigation based on 30 reports from consumers alleging that, after driving for a short time (5 to 30 minutes), both low beam headlights stopped working simultaneously and without warning. The low beam headlights remained inoperative for the remainder of the drive cycle, however no other lighting is affected.General Motors (GM) provided information in response to ODI's information request letter explaining that the loss of headlights is caused by a fractured low beam circuit wire in the underhood bussed electrical center (UBEC), a device that is similar to a fuse box. The UBEC is located in a high heat area near the engine, and the low beam circuit wire routing within the UBEC makes it susceptible to cyclical stress caused by thermal expansion.The investigation covers model years 2005-2007 Corvettes however ODI also has received four VOQs alleging the same condition in model year 2008 Corvettes. ODI is upgrading the investigation to an Engineering Analysis to further examine the consequences, frequency and scope of this problem. The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened this investigation based on 30 reports from consumers alleging that, after driving for a short time (5 to 30 minutes), both low beam headlights stopped working simultaneously and without warning. The low beam headlights remained inoperative for the remainder of the drive cycle, however no other lighting is affected.General Motors (GM) provided information in response to ODI's information request letter explaining that the loss of headlights is caused by a fractured low beam circuit wire in the underhood bussed electrical center (UBEC), a device that is similar to a fuse box.
