The jolt was so bad my neck and my wrist hurt for 3 to 4 days, If there was it would have caused an accident. Took truck in twice once to for recall and 2nd for the brakes slamming. Chevy said they couldnt make it happen again so they cant fix it. I explained it didnt happen for over 11,000 miles so how I just have to wait until it happens again. The light and sound still goes off randomly but brakes haven't slammed yet. Very dangerous this really puts mine and others at risk. 2. Windows don't always go down Part has been on order may still waiting Aug 11, 2024 3. Recently truck won't start battery dead. Going to take in tomorrow. I reached out to gm due to chevy dealer said they are the only ones that can fix issue. That didn't work either. I still have a brand new deg Effective truck. Don't know what else to do. Lawyer says to take it in 2 more times then they can start a case. All I want is it fixed specially when I bought it new.

2023 Chevrolet Colorado truck turn signal indicator appear to have design flaw. The turn signal indicator will frequently return past the turn signal stop position after making a standard 90 degree right hand turn. This movement past the stop point initiates the left turn signal indicator to cycle for 3 cycles as if the driver is immediately attempting to go to the left. This poses the risk of other drivers taking sudden or evasive actions to avoid the sudden and unexpected immediate lane change indication made by the vehicle. Ultimately leading to the potential of the reacting driver being rear-ended or other adverse affects of them taking sudden action. The dealer has attempted to address the issue by replacing the turn signal indicator. The issue seems to get better, but is now appearing again with the replacement unit. Indication of this issues prevalence in found in several online forums. Most of which people are putting off reporting the issue believing it is a minor annoyance to themselves, and not understanding the potential larger impact to other drivers around them.

Dash cluster initially went blank while driving and there was no speedometer or console. The vehicle alarm was also reported as going off in the middle of the night without anything around the vehicle. I took it into the dealership and they replaced several parts including the dash and radio components. They also performed a front camera recall repair. A few weeks later after driving around 250 more miles, we were driving in traffic around 50 mph when all of a sudden the vehicle came to a complete stop with no foot on the brake and injured my husbands neck and my wrists from how abrupt the stop was. The vehicle basically shut down and had to be restarted several times to get it to start back up again. Had roadside assistance tow it into the dealership again and they said that it happened during their test drive of the vehicle as well and was beeping and stopping at shadows on the ground. They drove it about 65 miles before it did it again. They returned the vehicle to us, unable to repair the issue and the GM technical engineer told them to just turn off all of the safety features in the console and that I would have to make sure they were turned off before driving the vehicle every time or if it lost power. They turned off the emergency braking controls with this action. Asked me to also adjust the gap to mid for object detection. They replaced the front camera with the recall and it still did not fix the issue. They told me that my truck does not have adaptive cruise control but the devices were acting like I did. I don't know if this is true or it is just another excuse. Note- This is the 2nd Chevy Colorado that i have had in 6 months with same issues as the dealer replaced the first lemon after 2 months.

Got a letter that my vehicle had a recall on adas system. Took it in to get fixed. A week later was driving home from work on a straight away and Trucks brakes slammed from 50 to 15 then let up. The impact was like Someone hitting me from behind. Strained my neck and wrist. Because I was in shock it happened so looked around and there was only one truck 2 lanes on side of road. When the brake released I started driving again. 3 min later It then happened again. I was scared it would happen again so I drove home real slow. We took it back in to get fixed on [XXX] at the chevy service in hemet. Roger used a sensor reader showing brakes locked up twice. They said they checked it and because there was no issues showing. They didn't fix it. Roger said they drove it 10 miles and nothing happened I explained I have driven it 11000 miles and nothing happened until Last week. How can they send me away without fixing a very dangerous issue. As of today [XXX] it can still happen. I was lucky there was no cars behind me that day it would be a different story. Now I have to call GM to try and get them to tell hemet chevy to fix it so no one gets killed or hurt next time it happens. What ever happened to fixing the issue? The contact stated that the dealer did not provide a diagnostic test, but the dealer updated the software system. The contact stated that the electrical failure persisted after the software updated was performed. The contact linked the failure to the front camera module system that might falsely detect an obstacle causing the automatic emergency braking to engage unintendedly. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. Parts distribution disconnect.

The pre collision safety feature is very glitchy. The warning comes on all the time, and no I’m not falling to close. But what scared me was I was driving home from work sunny conditions mild traffic. Typical city road 35mph. First the warning went off then right after it slammed on the brakes. The closest car in front of me was about 6 car length when it hit the breakers. I know the Pearson behind me was not happy with me. Luckily there was no accident. I seen on Facebook that this is not an insulated problem. I hope more people make a report because this is definitely a safety issue.

1EA26006 · Electronic Brake Module Component Failure
Opened Aug 21, 2026 · No close date supplied
Status: open (inferred from source dates) · Service Brakes
On April 11, 2024, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened Preliminary Evaluation PE24011 after receiving complaints concerning a loss of brake assist in 2023 MY Cadillac Lyriq vehicles. These complaints allege a hard brake pedal, followed by a “Brake System Failure” message at start up or while driving. GM shared records regarding several internal investigations for loss of brake assist due to alleged spindle fractures in the eBoost system. GM has stated that in the event of a spindle fracture, anti-lock brakes (ABS), stability control, and traction control remain functional until the vehicle comes to a complete stop. At this point, ABS, brake assist, stability control, and traction control functions are lost. The loss of these functions causes the vehicle to set one of three Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) based on failed performance criteria for the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM). These DTCs, in turn, activate several driver alerts: an audible chime, a visual “Service Brake System” message in the display, and multiple illuminated Malfunction Indicator Lights (MILs) for the ABS, Traction Control, and Brakes informing the driver of loss of functionality. The vehicle speed will also be limited to 70 KPH (43 MPH). Since opening PE24011, ODI has continued to receive reports of loss of brake assist. Some of these reports describe symptoms inconsistent with GM’s description of a spindle failure. These reports allege an immediate loss of brake assist functionality as opposed to the loss occurring after the vehicle comes to a complete stop. The sudden loss of brake assist during a braking event could result in extended braking distance, which increases the risk of a crash or injury. ODI believes further analysis is necessary to assess the potential for failures in GM’s eBoost system to resulting in safety-related outcomes. At this time, ODI is aware of the following vehicles that are equipped with this eBoost system: 2023-2026 MY Cadillac Lyriq, Chevrolet Colorado, and GMC Canyon; 2024-2026 MY Buick Enclave, Envision; Chevrolet Blazer EV, Equinox EV, Traverse; Cruise Origin; and GMC Acadia; 2025-2026 MY Cadillac Celestiq and Optiq. ODI is also aware of 2024-2026 MY Acura ZDX and 2024-2026 MY Honda Prologue vehicles that were built with this system. The Acura and Honda vehicles were manufactured by GM in a joint venture with Honda, and will be included in the Engineering Analysis as peer vehicles. ODI is opening this Engineering Analysis to further assess the safety-related consequences of a failed eBoost system. In addition, ODI is expanding the scope of the investigation to encompass all GM vehicles that share this eBoost system. To review the ODI reports cited in the Opening Resume ODI Report Identification Number document, go to NHTSA.gov.
