WINDSHIELD WIPERS QUIT WORKING DURING A HEAVY THUNDERSTORM. RESTARTED AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES BUT BEFORE I COULD TAKE TO DEALER. SAME THING AFTER I HAD WASHED THE TRUCK. I TOOK IT TO NORMAN FREDE CHEVROLET IN CLEAR LAKE TEXAS FOR A RECALL NOTICE ON THE SEATS WHICH COULD CUT FINGERS IF FOLDED AND THEY SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT FIX BECAUSE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED(3 YEARS)EVEN THOUGH THE TRUCK ONLY HAS 20690 MILES.

ODI HAS NO CONSUMER COMPLAINTS.GM REPORTED 6 FROM OWNERS BEING PUZZLED BY THE HATCH AJAR LAMP BEING ILLUMINATED.A SAFETY RELATED DEFECT, NOR A TREND, HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AT THIS TIME AND FURTHER USE OF THE AGENCY RESOURCES DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE WARRANTED.ACCORDINGLY, THIS INVESTIGATION IS CLOSED.THE CLOSING OF THIS INVESTIGATION DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A FINDING BY NHTSA THAT A SAFETY-RELATED DEFECT DOES NOT EXIST.THE AGENCY WILL TAKE FURTHER ACTION IF WARRANTED BY THE CIRCUMSTANCES.
