THE FIRST TIME MY DRIVERS SEAT BELT DID NOT RETRACT AND HOLD ME WAS ON SEPT 5, 2000. I NOTIFIED KING CHEVROLET. I HAVE HAD MY CAR IN THE SHOP SEVERAL TIME MORE OVER THE PAST 13 1/2 MONTHS. THEY KEEP TELLING ME THAT THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER. I HAVE STRESSED TO THEM THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE HAD TO PUT ON MY BRAKES A FEW TIMES SUDDENLY. EACH TIME, IT DID NOT HOLD ME AND I JERKED MY NECK. THE FIRST TIME, I HIT THE SIDE OF MY DRIVER'S WINDOW SO HARD I HAD AN EGG KNOT AND HAD TO GO TO THE ER. I HAVE GIVEN THEM 14 MONTHS (NEXT WEEK) TO FIX THIS. ALL THEY TELL ME IS THAT THEY WILL CALL ME WHEN IT'S IN. THIS IS A SAFETY FEATURE THAT I FEEL SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO AS SOMEONE ELSE MAY NOT BE SO LUCKY. JUNE HATFIELD. *AK
