173 reportsFRONT ROTORS WARPED. STEERING WHEEL SHAKES VIOLENTLY WHEN SLOWING DOWN FROM HIGHWAY SPEEDS. DEALERSHIP WILL ONLY TURN ROTORS, ROTORS WARP AGAIN AFTER 6K MILES.
I HAVE TALKED TO A NUMBER OF CAMARO OWNERS WHO ALL ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM THE THE DISC BRAKE ROTORS.
BOTH FRONT BRAKE ROTORS WARPED AND CAUSED A VIBRATION WHEN BRAKES WERE APPLIED, ESPECIALLY AT FREEWAY SPEEDS. BOTH FRONT ROTORS WERE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY, BUT THE NEW ROTORS HAVE JUST BEGUN TO DEMONSTRATE SIGNS OF WARPAGE AGAIN (11000 MILES).
CONSUMER WAS DRIVING VEHICLE. CROSSING BRIDGE ONTO INTERSTATE AT APPROXIMATELY 25-30 MPH WHEN NOTICED SMOKE AND FLAMES COMING FROM DASH AREA. LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED AND PUT THE FIRE OUT. REASON FOR FIRE IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME. DEALER /MANUFACTURE NOTIFIED. *AK
VEHICLE SHOOK AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS DUE TO THE FRONT DISK BRAKES FAILING.
WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED THEY PULLED AND SQUEAKED THE DEALER HAD TO REPLACE THEM TWICE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING THE ENGINE STALLS OUT. SOMETIMES IT STALLS WHEN IT COMES TO A COMPLETE STOP. DEALER CAN'T FIND THE PROBLEM. *AK
WHEN ABS BRAKES ARE APPLIED FRONT END SHIMMIES. PROBLEM OCCURS IN RAINY CONDITIONS. ROTORS HAVE BEEN REPLACED, BUT PROBLEM REMAINS. *AK
FRONT BRAKES ROTORS WARPED AFTER ONLY 6000 MILES CAUSING STEERING WHEEL VIBRATIONS AT SPEEDS 50-70MPH. BRAKING MIGHT BE COMPROMISED.
