TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET AVALANCHE 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STABILITY TRACK WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL POSITION SENSOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS RECALL ELATED TO THE FAILURE BUT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
