THE KEY HAS GOTTEN STUCK IN THE IGNITION SEVERAL TIMES. THIS PREVENTS THE CAR FROM MOVING AND TURNING OFF COMPLETELY. AT ONE POINT THE CAR BEGAN TO ROLL AS I WAS ATTEMPTING TO GET OUT TO GET ASSISTANCE. I WAS EVENTUALLY ABLE TO GO ONTO YOUTUBE AND DISCOVERED THE ISSUE WAS CONSISTENT WITH THE CHEVY MALIBU, SO I USED THE SAME TECHNIQUE DESCRIBED IN THE YOUTUBE VIDEO TO REMOVE THE KEY. THE SAME ISSUE OCCURRED ON THE EVENING ON FEBRUARY 21, 2019. THE VALET SUPERVISOR WENT TO RETRIEVE MY CAR AND WAS UNABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION AND THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE INTO THE PARK GEAR. I WOULD MOVE INTO DRIVE, NEUTRAL AND REVERSE BUT NOT PARK. I BELIEVE MY CAR IS ALSO IMPACTED UNDER THE FOLLOWING RECALL NUMBER:50490 AND 50491. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS.

MY 2013 BUICK VERANO HAS BEEN ACTING WEIRD FOR ABOUT A MONTH NOW. I FIRST NOTICED IT BECAUSE THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON ONE DAY ON MY WAY TO WORK AND WHEN I LEFT WORK IT WAS OFF. MAYBE TWO DAYS LATER WHEN I STARTED MY CAR AND PULLED OF IT JUST TURNED OFF. SO I STARTED IT AGAIN(STARTS UP FINE) AND I PUT IN TO DRIVE AND ONCE I PULL OFF IT TURNED OFF. IT DID ABOUT 4 TIMES BEFORE THE CAR WOULD RUN NORMALLY. THIS HAPPEN TWICE IN THE FIRST WEEK, AND THEN IT WAS EVERYDAY SINCE THEN. I DID NOTICE THAT IT WAS STRUGGLING TO GET IT OUT OF FIRST GEAR ABOUT THE THIRD WEEK. ALSO WHEN I WAS ON MY WAY TO THE STORE AND I STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AND WHEN IT TURNED GREEN AND I TRIED TO ACCELERATE IT JUST TURNED OFF. BUT AFTER THAT RODE FINE. AFTER THAT INCIDENT I NOTICED YESTERDAY THAT EVERYTIME I STOP NOW THE CAR WILL TURN OFF AND ALSO IF I GO ANYTHING OVER 35MPH THE CAR JERKS AS IF IT WANTS TO STOP. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE. ALSO THE ENGINE LIGHTS COMES ON AND OFF. AND I DID GOOGLE TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM SO I CAN SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD POSSIBLY BE AND FOUND THAT MANY PEOPLE WITH THIS SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL OF CAR HAVE THIS ISSUE. I ALSO READ THAT THEY HAD RECALLS FOR THIS SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL TWO MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BUT NEVER RECEIVED A LETTER OF NOTICE, MAYBE BECAUSE IT WASN'T FOR MY VIN. BUT WITH AN UNSAFE VEHICLE ISSUE SUCH AS THIS, SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE.

I HAD TO USE A FIRE EXTINGUISHER TO GET RID OF THE FIRE. WHEN THE MECHANIC LOOKED AT IT, HE SAID HE HAD NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT AND GUESSED IT MAY HAVE BEEN THE CIRCUIT TO THE DEFROSTER AND IF I HAD NOT OF GOTTEN OUT OF THE CAR AND TURNED IT OFF, I COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED OR DIED BECAUSE THE CAR CAUGHT SO QUICKLY.

THE FADING PAINT IS HARD TO NOTICE AND RECOGNIZE, BUT AFTER WASHING YOU CAN SEE THE DULL AREAS EASILY. NOTICED PROBLEM ON HOOD 2 YEARS AGO, PAID $1900 TO HAVE IT REPAINTED BEFORE REALIZING THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE. GM BODY SHOP SAID THE PAINT IS "CHECKING". CAUSED BY IMPROPER OEM APPLICATION. SINCE CAR IS 5 YEARS OLD, NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. $2900 TO REPAIR!!

GM BULLETIN 23520 WAS ISSUED ON 05/10/2016 STATING THAT SOME 2013-2016 BUICK VERANO'S MAY HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE PASSENGER PRESENCE MODULE SYSTEM. ACCORDING TO THE BULLETIN, THE ISSUE WAS CAUSED BY A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM DURING ASSEMBLY (AS STATED ON THE FIRST PAGE OF THE BULLETIN- '....THE PASSENGER PRESENCE SENSOR (PPS) MODULE WIRE MAY HAVE BEEN PINCHED IN THE SEAT TRIM DURING SEAT ASSEMBLY OR SERVICING). BUICK, IN MY OPINION, FAULTED IN LIMITING THIS SAFETY ISSUE TO A LIMITED MILEAGE SPECIFICATION. ALTHOUGH MY VEHICLE IS STILL COVERED UNDER THE TIME ALOTTMENT, MY MILEAGE OF 100,000 AT THE TIME THAT THE BULLETING WAS ISSUED EXCEEDED THE LIMIT OF 72.000. I SENT A MESSAGE TO TERRY INCH, EXEC. DIRECTOR OF GLOBAL CONNECTED CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AND TO DUNCAN ALDRED, VP OF THE BUICK LINE AND HAVE RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. I UNDERSTAND THAT ALL MECHANICAL PARTS OF A WARRANTIED VEHICLE SHOULD BE LIMITED, HOWEVER, KNOWN OR NEWLY-DISCOVERED SAFETY-RELATED SHOULD NOT BE LIMITED TO MILEAGE SINCE MILEAGE HAS NO IMPACT ON THE SAFETY OF THE PASSENGERS INSIDE A LESS-THAN-SAFE VEHICLE. I'VE ASKED BUICK TO MAKE SOME TYPE OF ALLOWANCE FOR REPAIRS, HOWEVER, THEY HAVE DENIED TO DO SO AND WANT TO CHARGE ME THE FULL PRICE OF $879 PLUS TAX FOR A REPAIR THEY HAVE MADE KNOWN TO BE A MANUFACTURING ISSUE. I WILL GLADLY SHARE SOME FORM OF DEDUCTIBLE WITH THEM BUT REFUSE TO TAKE IT ALL UPON MYSELF WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS COMPROMISED FROM IT INITIAL MANUFACTURING. PLEASE ASSIST!!
