ON AUGUST 31, 2011 ON US HWY 89 IN UTAH ONE HALF MILE NORTH OF UT HWY 9, THE LATCH HOLDING THE LID OF THE BOLTON PET TRAILER BROKE AND THE LID CRASHED TO THE GROUND. THE LID HAD TO BE BUNGEE CORDED TO GET THE TRAILER HOME. TRAILER MILEAGE WAS 9,162 MILES. THE TRAILER WAS REPAIRED THROUGH OUR INSURANCE COMPANY. ON AUGUST 18, 2013, ON INTERSTATE 70 IN COLORADO AT MILE MARKER 151, THE REAR TRAILER DOOR OPENED ON ITS OWN ACCORD WHILE TRAVELING AT 70 MPH. OUR DOG STEPPED OUT OF THE TRAILER AND WAS SEVERELY INJURED. WE INCURRED VETERINARIAN COST IN VAIL, COLORADO FOR THE INJURED DOG. TRAILER MILEAGE WAS 20,446 MILES. WHILE CONTINUING TO COME HOME WITH THE INJURED DOG IN THE TRAILER, ON AUGUST 21, 2013, THE TRAILER REAR DOOR FELL COMPLETELY OFF OF THE TRAILER ON INTERSTATE 15 AT ABOUT MILE MARKER 39. WITH LUCK, THE DOG DID NOT GET OUT OF THE TRAILER. MILEAGE ON THE TRAILER WAS 21,374 MILES. THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE FOR THE PETS THAT IT WAS DESIGNED AND SOLD TO SAFELY CARRY. WITH MAJOR PARTS FALLING OFF WHILE IN TRANSIT, IT IS ALSO UNSAFE FOR OTHER VEHICLES THAT CAN HAVE AN ACCIDENT TRYING TO AVOID THE PARTS FALLING OFF. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING INTO THE SAFETY OF BOLTON TRAILERS IN DUNNELLON, FLORIDA. *TR
