UPON DECELERATING AND ENGAGING THE CLUTCH AS IF TO STOP, THE ENGINE WILL SUDDENLY AND COMPLETELY DIE. SEVERAL MINUTES AND MANY STARTING ATTEMPTS ARE GENERALLY REQUIRED TO RESTART THE ENGINE BEFORE IT WILL RUN AGAIN. NO OBVIOUS SERIES OF EVENTS FORECASTS THIS FAILURE. BUMP-STARTING THE ENGINE BEFORE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP HAS, ON ONE OCCASION, REFIRED THE ENGINE AND IT CONTINUED RUNNING. ON AT LEAST ONE OCCASION THIS ENGINE FAILURE OCCURRED WHILE DOWNSHIFTING ENTERING A HIGHWAY ONRAMP, AT WHICH POINT THE ENGINE DIED, RESULTING IN A POTENTIALLY VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
