The contact owns a 2018 BMW 740LE. The contact stated that the starter failed and caused the A/C to not operate properly. There were several unknown messages displayed, and the vehicle went into LIMP Mode. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V441000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the dealer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 158,000.
