Front left and right marker lights show up as defective on the dashboard, intermittently, but the lights are working. Have seen on different forums that this is not uncommon with this vehicle. Many complaints. Tried working with Audi/USA and have followed their advice with needing a dealership assessments. I have done this on two occasions, but they said that they will not be responsible, but that the dealership will offer a labor discount of 10%. These quotes are over $7000 to replace the lights and modules (that are working), if you don’t want to keep listening to the dinging warning bells. And it forces the customer to fix it because you will never be able to sell the car even though the lights are working. Think at least Audi should pay for the parts on all complaints. There is such a term as “good will” and they should broaden the recall on this item. My vehicle had a recall on this that the dealership repaired before I even purchased the vehicle which was NEW. Audi informed them when it was on the lot, but they say it was for the same thing but they just had to do an update on it? How did they know that when the car only had maybe 10 miles on it when we took delivery. Hopefully, someone in your department has some clout and back Audi up against the wall and take responsibility. 2017 Audi Q7 Premium Plus. 85000 miles. The car runs normal and has no warning lights and has been regularly services at Audi dealership. 1. Rear driver side spring broken. This is stated as a common problem with this model as researched on Audi Forums. 2. Engine burning excessive oil. Have to add a quart every 500 miles. My car giving me a "Front right side marker light defective" fault on the cluster. I searched and there is a recall for that issue. Safety Recall Code: 97CB. I called dealer about it and they are saying that there is no Recall for my VIN number. So they want to charge me for fixing that issue. I search it and it's common problem for 2017 Q7. And also it says there is a software issue on the recall notice. So the problem is not my fault and I need you to add my VIN Number to that Recall Notice.

The vehicle is giving an error message that states " "front left side marker light defective". Not having marker lights that make me visible to others on the road reduces my safety. The problem is apparently a known issue by Audi and several consumers are impacted by this error. The Audi recall campaign 97CB (NHTSA campaign ID 16V642000) addresses this exact issue and applies to some affected VIN numbers but not all. It appears that this issue is happening to MANY more owners outside of the VIN numbers that qualify for the recall

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2019 Audi Q8 and 2017-2019 Audi Q7 vehicles. The bolt connecting the steering shaft to the steering gear may loosen, possibly resulting in a loss of steering control.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A sudden loss of loss of steering control may increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Volkswagen will notify owners, and Audi dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the steering shaft bolt, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began March 31, 2020. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 36A1.

(Volkswagen) is recalling certain model year 2017 Audi A7, A4, A6, Volkswagen Golf and Tiguan vehicles and 2016 Volkswagen e-Golf vehicles for driver frontal air bags, passenger frontal air bags or head air bags that may not deploy properly. Additionally, certain 2017 Audi Q7, A4 Sedan, A4 Allroad, and 2018 Audi Q5 vehicles are being recalled because the seat belt pretensioners may not activate properly.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: In the event of a crash, if the air bags and/or the seat belt pretensioners do not inflate or function properly, the vehicle occupants have an increased risk of injury.

Remedy: Volkswagen and Audi will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected air bags and seat belt pretensioners, free of charge. The recall began April 2017. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298 or Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834.

Consequence: With a loss of power steering assist, extra steering effort will be required, especially at lower speeds, increasing the risk of a crash.

In the affected vehicles, the third row seat back may move forward under load, such as in a frontal collision. As such, the vehicles do not conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, "Seating Systems."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: If the third row seat does not remain in its adjusted position, there may be an increased risk of injury to an occupant in the event of a crash.
