I HAD A COMPUTER PROBLEM IN MY CAR (ACURA INTEGRA 2001) AND I WENT TO THE ACURA OF AVON DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE COMPUTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE IDLING VALVE. I HAD THE WORK DONE. THEN, I HAD SEVERAL ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS THAT STARTED OCCURRING WITH THE CAR, INCLUDING A FAILED TRANSMISSION. THE…

I HAD A COMPUTER PROBLEM IN MY CAR (ACURA INTEGRA 2001) AND I WENT TO THE ACURA OF AVON DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE COMPUTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE IDLING VALVE. I HAD THE WORK DONE. THEN, I HAD SEVERAL ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS THAT STARTED OCCURRING WITH THE CAR, INCLUDING A FAILED TRANSMISSION. THE CAR ONLY HAS 49, 515 MILES ON IT. FOR ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS TO BE OCCURRING WITH A CAR THAT IS ONLY 4 1/2 YEARS OLD, IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, AND SUCH LOW MILEAGE, IS QUITE SHOCKING. *NM

ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, SOME OF THE PASSENGER AIR BAG MODULES WERE NOT PROPERLY WELDED AND MAY NOT DEPLOY IN A COLLISION.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: THE SEAT OCCUPANT MAY NOT BE PROPERLY PROTECTED IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION, INCREASING THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE PASSENGER AIR BAG MODULE. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN AUGUST 2, 2002. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT HONDA AT 1-800-999-1009 OR ACURA AT 1-800-382-2238.
