I HAD THE CRUISE CONTROL ON, I WAS GOING ABOUT 65 MILES PER HOUR, I PUSHED ON THE GAS PEDAL TO PASS A CAR, THE PEDAL STUCK ALL THE WAY DOWN, I HIT THE BRAKES BUT THE CAR KEEP GOING FASTER, I HAD TO HIT THE GAS PEDAL SEVERAL TIMES TO GET IT TO RELEASE. THE SAME THING HPPENDED WITHOUT THE CURISE CONTROL ON.

INCIDENT ALSO HAPPENED AGAIN IN JUNE 1999 AT APPROX. 35-40 MPH. CAR ACCELERATES ON ITS OWN, AS IF CRUISE CONTROL IS ENGAGED WHEN IN ACTUALITY IT IS RARELY USED. (CAR ACCELERATES WHEN ALREADY IN FORWARD MOTION, NOT WHEN STANDING STILL.) THIS CAR HAS AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.
